Fifty Shades Cast Revealed: My Opinions

Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson fifty shades of grey fsogSince it was made public that Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson would be playing the roles of Christian and Anastasia for Fifty Shades of Grey, everyone has been going crazy as if the apocalypse was coming.  Here are my 2 cents on it. I actually like them. Yes, they aren’t who I first imagined would play Christian Grey and Anastasia (I only knew of Dakota Johnson), but it could be worse. Scrawny Robert Pattinson was so close to being Christian Grey (don’t get me wrong, I like him but he is NOT Christian Grey)! There were petitions to have Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel play the roles, which made no sense because both of them have said that they wouldn’t do it, even if they were offered. In addition, a lot of the actors and actresses who many fans wanted to play the roles either turned it down because they didn’t want it or because of scheduling issues. This isn’t the first time that an actor or actress wasn’t accepted to portray a role for a movie. The Hunger Games fans didn’t think that Jennifer Lawrence could be Katniss and look how that turned out. Honestly, there is nothing any of us can do to change it. We have to just hope for the best and give them as much support if we want them to do their best to try and bring to life what is Fifty Shades of Grey. So chins up ladies, they might just crush it and blow us all away.

Book Review: “Divergent” by Veronica Roth

Divergent

Well if you’ve read my post on Book Hangovers!, then you would know how much I love “The Hunger Games” (and Peeta, I LOVE Peeta). So when I was looking up Shailene Woodley for Movie Update: The Fault in Our Stars Cast, I came across Divergent. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t live in a bubble. I had heard of it before (I had seen THIS on Buzzfeed), but I never really paid much attention to it. I looked up the trailer and I was intrigued, but also felt like it was just a wanna-be “The Hunger Games”. I gave it a shot anyways, and I think it has been the smartest decision I have ever made in my life! Yes, both books are about a tyrannical government and a girl who has the power to stop it, but it’s told in a completely different way. “Divergent” is about a girl named Beatrice (Tris), who is not like most of the others from the other factions and her own. She is divergent, which means that she doesn’t belong to I just one faction; she must choose one and it could mean leaving her family behind forever. But being divergent is a dangerous thing to be, especially since there is so much tension between the factions. Let me just say that Tris is one bad ass chick; she’s not strong or big but she has more balls than anyone else. Also, there is Four, the initiates’ trainer. Oh boy, if I wasn’t so in love with Peeta I would take him away with me and never look back! Can’t I just have them both? This book was outstanding! I went to theme parks all weekend and I looked like the most anti-social person ever because I was reading off of my phone’s kindle app the entire time and when we would get home, I would run upstairs and read until late at night. There were points in the book where I would have to put it down because I was getting so anxious, I couldn’t even think straight. The ending is phenomenal and it made me want to go ahead and buy Insurgent but I can’t yet because, since I read the entire weekend, I forgot that there was this thing called homework that cruel professors give students (don’t they understand that I have books to read?). But I want to space my time out anyways because the last book doesn’t come out until October and I don’t think my nerves could take it! But for sure I’m going to be first in line to see Divergent when it comes out in March!

Movie Update: The Fault in Our Stars Cast

know how excited everyone is for “The Fault in Our Stars” movie to come out, so let me just add on to the excitement.  The movie is scheduled to come out sometime next year and it is being directed by Josh Boone. We also know who will play our beloved Hazel Grace: Shailene Woodley (woo! I am super excited!).

the fault in our stars movie Shailene Woodley

She is perfect for the role and if you have your doubts because you’ve only seen her in “The Secret Life of an American Teenager” then go rent “The Descendants” and you’ll be a fan too.  Our adored Augustus will be played by Ansel Elgort. At first I wasn’t completely convinced. He looked like a little boy and nothing of how I pictured my beautiful Augustus to be. Then I saw this picture of Shailene and Ansel on their first day on set together and my worries were put at ease. They are the perfect match (like, they nailed it perfectly)!

And they are in the upcoming movie Divergent together so we will be able to get a glimpse of them on screen together. Issac is being played by Nat Wolff (they keep nailing it). Most of the cast have already been chosen and production has begun which means that soon, ladies and gentlemen, the most beautiful story ever told will come to life (let’s just hope that they don’t ruin it). Book Review: “Crave: A Billionaire Bachelors Club Novel” by Monica Murphy

Crave A Billionaire Bachelors Club Novel

If you have ever been infatuated with an older sibling’s best friend, then pick up this book and never let it go because it is everything you would want to happen. In this book we have 3 wealthy (hence Billionaire Bachelors Club) best friends, Gage, Matt, and Archer, who have been friends since high school. Archer Bancroft owns a super luxurious couples hotel in Napa and doesn’t believe he will ever get married, let alone be the first one of his friends to marry. He believes this so much that he bets a million dollars that it won’t be him. But at a wedding he sees Ivy, Gage’s not-so-baby sister. When they were younger, Archer saw her turn from Gage’s little sister into a hot teenage girl but always knew Ivy was off limits. Instead, he would mercilessly tease her (typical man).  At the wedding, though, he can’t help but going up to her and, for the first time, Ivy finds him attractive but knows that he’s bad news. Yet she can’t seem to help herself. Then, Archer hires her to decorate his new hotel, Crave, and the rest is history. Let me just say that I literally died when I read this book. I mean, the little sister gets with her sibling’s best friend! Every girls dream, really. And I love it in books when the guy is so opposed to being with just one person for the rest of his life and then turns into the biggest girl (whipped!). This book had everything you would want: the wealthy man, the steamy scenes, the romantic intimate moments, and more. CLICK HERE! You won’t regret reading it.

Book Review: “Frigid” by J Lynn

frigid

Book Review: “Frigid” by J. Lynn

Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you the ultimate friend zone book. Sydney is in love with her childhood friend Kyler ever since she realized that boys were attractive. She has fallen hard but doesn’t want to say anything because she would rather have him as a friend than lose him forever. I think Sydney is a masochist because, for years she just stands by Kyler who has a parade of girls coming and going and she’s just there idolizing him from afar. And Kyler, he wants his cake and wants to eat it too! To him, no one is good enough for Sydney and he runs anyone who tries to get near her away. Then when they go on their yearly trip to the log cabin with their friends but end up getting snowed in…alone, everything changes. I don’t understand how they didn’t see it sooner; the sexual chemistry between the two of them was outrageous. The fact that they went this long without pouncing on each other was mind boggling. I really enjoyed this book and the fact that was a standalone with an H.E.A (everyone’s dream book). GET IT HERE!

Book Review: “The Redemption of Callie and Kayden” by Jessica Sorensen

the redemption of callie and kayden

Book Review: “The Redemption of Callie and Kayden” by Jessica Sorensen

Well, we all know how much I LOVE this story (and if you don’t, read this Book Review: “The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden” by Jessica Sorensen). So the book starts off with Kayden in the hospital recovering (thank GOD!). Callie finds out about his secret and wants to help him but he won’t see her and she feels like she’s a hypocrite to try and help him when she has her own secret. On top of that, Callie has to finally face what happened to her years ago and Kayden has to deal with his issues with his dad and family. In typical Jessica Sorensen way, she makes you feel like your heart is literally ripping at the seams for the two of them. Throughout the entire book I wanted to just hug them and tell them that everything was going to be okay. And thank GOD there was no cliffhanger (I don’t think my nerves could have taken another one). I was scared that I wasn’t going to like this book since I LOVED the first one, but thankfully Jessica Sorensen struck gold once again. If you haven’t read “The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden”, go read it and then you’ll have no choice but to read “The Redemption of Callie and Kayden”. GET IT HERE!
